Larter was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She is daughter of Margaret and DanforthLarter. Alison is graduated from Cherry Hill High School West.

 

Career

She began her modeling career at the age of 14. In 1997, Larter appeared in an episode of the Brooke Shields television series "Suddenly Susan". In 1997, she appeared in several television programs such as "Dawson's Creek", "Chicago Hope", and "Just Shoot Me!. In 1999, Larter made her film debut in the American coming-of-age sports comedy-drama "Varsity Blues". Also in 1999, Larter made supporting appearances in the teen comedies "Giving It Up" and "Drive Me Crazy", and "House on Haunted Hill".

 

She is one of the main characters in the teen supernatural horror film "Final Destination (2000)". She appeared in the comedy "Legally Blonde" with actress Reese Witherspoon. The film earned the top spot with US$20 million in its opening weekend and $141 million worldwide. Larter next appeared in the western comedy "American Outlaws".

 

She also starred in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". In the sequel to Final Destination entitled "Final Destination 2", she was play role as Clear Rivers. Next year Larter starred in the thriller "Three Way", and in 2005, she appeared in the independent political thriller Confess, and "A Lot Like Love". In 2013, Larterreleased her cooking book, "Kitchen Revelry: A Year of Festive Menus from My Home to Yours".
