Dewan was born in Hartford, Connecticut. She is
daughter of Nancy Smith and DarryllDewan. She was play role cheerleader, when
she was attending high school at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson,
Maryland.
Career
In 2000, she first appeared in Janet Jackson's video
song "Doesn't Really Matter", and in "All for You" and the
All for You Tour in 2001. Dewan also appeared in several music videos for
artists such as singer Justin Timberlake, singer Mandy Moore and rapper Missy
Elliott. In 2006, Dewan co-starred with Channing Tatum in "Step Up",
and starring in "Take the Lead" that same year. In August 2008, Dewan
starred in television film "Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal".
She appeared in comedy film "American Virgin". She has also starred
in American historical crime drama television series "The Playboy
Club". In 14, 2012, Dewan appeared
in the romantic-comedy film "10 Years", produced by her then husband
Channing Tatum. That same year, Dewan appeared in the second season of the
American FX horror anthology television series "American Horror Story:
Asylum", as Teresa Morrison. Jenna Dewan is an animal rights activist.
