is Patton Oswalt?
Patton Peter Oswalt is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He is best known for playing a role of in the television sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007) and narrated the sitcom The Goldbergs (2013–present).
Childhood
& Early Life
Oswalt was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on 27 January
1969. He is son of United States Marine Corps officer Larry J. Oswalt and Carla
Oswalt. His younger brother, Matt Oswalt is a comedy writer. He is a graduate
from Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia and The College of William
& Mary.
Career
In 1988, Oswalt began performing stand-up comedy. After
writing for television series "MADtv" and starring in his own 1996
comedy special for HBO, Oswalt appeared of film debut in the 1996 military
comedy film "Down Periscope". His television debut was in the
"Seinfeld" episode "The Couch". His main and longest
running role was as Spence Olchin in television sitcom "The King of
Queens".
He appeared on the "Comedy Central Roast of
William Shatner" and "Comedy Central Roast of FlavorFlav" in
August 2007. In 2009, Oswalt played the leading role in "Big Fan".
Oswalt appeared in the 2011 film "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D
Christmas" and Young Adult. He played Billy Stanhope, in "Two and a
Half Men" in 2012. Oswalt provided the voice in "Sorry to Bother
You", which was released in theaters on July 6, 2018.
In the 2019, Oswalt also provided the voice in film The
Secret Life of Pets 2. Oswalt appeared in his own Comedy albums Feelin' Kinda
Patton, Werewolves and Lollipops, My Weakness Is Strong, Finest Hour and
Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time. Oswalt is known for voicing in film
Ratatouille (2007) and M.O.D.O.K in the 2021 Hulu series "of the same
name".
Oswalt has won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding
Writing for a Variety Special and a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. Oswalt
appeared in Web series "Red Letter Media" (2019) and Honest Trailers
(2020).
