is Ray Dell Curry?
Wardell Stephen Curry Sr. is an American former
professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball
Association (NBA) from 1986 until 2002.
Dell retired as the Charlotte Hornets' all-time leader in
points (9,839) and three-point field goals made (929). Dell Curry currently
works as a color commentator, alongside Eric Collins, on Charlotte Hornets
television broadcasts. He is the father of NBA professional players Stephen
Curry and NBA professional players Seth Curry.
Early Life / Childhood days
Dell Curry was born on June 25, 1964, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Dell showed interest in sports from his childhood. Curry was played high school basketball at Fort Defiance, where he used his coach's barn to practice shooting daily.
He is the all-time leading scorer in school history.
While in school, Curry played both basketball and baseball, and won state
championships in both sports. In the 1982, he was selected by the Texas Rangers
for Major League Baseball draft. He finished his ‘Virginia Tech’ career with a
total of 2389 points and 295 steals, becoming the second all-time and all-time
leader, and a 6–1 record with a 3.81 ERA in baseball.

Dell Curry attended Fort
Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, Virginia, where he played basketball and
earned all-state honors. He then went on to play college basketball at Virginia
Tech, where he was a standout player for the Virginia Tech Hokies men's
basketball team.
During his college
career, Dell Curry set many records and was named the Metro Conference Player
of the Year in 1986. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1986 with a Bachelor's
degree in Business Administration.
In 1999, Dell Curry was
inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his
outstanding career as a college basketball player.

Curry played one season for the Milwaukee Bucks before playing his final three seasons in the NBA for the NBA professional team Toronto Raptors.
He holds his total career averages of 11.7 points, 2.4
rebounds, and 1.8 assists. He is all-time leading scorer in Hornets history
with 9,839 points. In 2007, he was appointed the assistant coach of NBA’s
‘Charlotte Bobcats. In 2009, Dell started working as a color commentator for
the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets).
