life
Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, on August 9, 1985,
the daughter of accountant Janice and history teacher William Kendrick. She has
an older brother who is an actor. She is graduated from Deering High School
(Portland, Maine) in 2003.
Career
Kendrick started her career as a child. When Kendrick was
12, she had a supporting role in the 1998 Broadway musical "High
Society". She played supporting role in the 2003 New York City Opera
production of Stephen Sondheim's musical A Little Night Music.
In 2003, she made her film debut in the musical comedy
drama film "Camp". In 2007, she played role in Rocket Science (2007),
for which she earned Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting
Female. In 2009, she appeared in the comedy "The Marc Pease
Experience". In 2009, she appeared leading role in the crime thriller
Elsewhere.
She played role in comedy drama film Up in the Air
(2009), for which she nominated for Best Supporting Actress awards, including
the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and BAFTA
Awards.
Kendrick also played roles in films such as the action
comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), the comedy drama 50/50 (2011), the
crime drama End of Watch (2012), the musical fantasy Into the Woods (2014), the
drama Cake (2014), the comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016), the
animated comedy Trolls (2016), the comic thriller A Simple Favor (2018), the
fantasy comedy Noelle (2019), and the animated sequel Trolls World Tour (2020).
