Cade Thompson was born on January 25, 2001 in Joplin, Missouri, USA, to Ryan, Charon Thompson. Thompson grew up in a Christian family with a mother who worked as a youth pastor. At a young age, Thompson was well known for music and singing at school and church. Growing up into his youthful age, he joined a youth worship team. After joining the youth worship team in 6th grade, a music mentor came into his life who emphasized the importance of seeking God through the Bible outside of a worship setting.

At the age nine, Thompson moved with his family to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he continued to develop his musical skills, where he is learning guitar, piano, and drums. Thompson fell in love with music during his childhood days as he played instruments. At age 14, Thompson wrote his first song.
